Apple pie - recipe (including photos)

Apple pie, like our grandmother does it:
  • Ingredients for the pastry:
          - 300 grams of  flour
          - 150 ml of warm water
          - 2 spoons of sunflower oil
          - salt


  • Ingredients for the filling
          - 1 kg of apples
          - 150 grams of sugar
          - 1 packet of vanilla sugar
          - cinnamon
          - pine kernels / walnuts  (if you prefer)

  • Put the flour, the oil, the warm water and the salt in a bowl and mix them well. Once all ingredients are mixed well, cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel, and let it sit for half an hour


  • Peel off the apples, grate them and mix them with the sugar and cinnamon 

  • Put the dough on the table and spread it with a rolling pine until it becomes as thin as you like. Spread the apple filling on the left side of the pastry (now you can add pine kernels / walnuts)

  • roll over slowly the pastry from left to right

  • bake it for 30 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius
  •  when the pie is ready, it should look like this
  • immediately after taking the pie out of the oven, cover it with a damp clean kitchen towel for half an hour (so that the crust becomes tender)
