Roses, beautiful roses!

For a few weeks now, we have our garden filled with roses.

It´s the perfect setting for some relaxing time in the garden.

Homemade strawberry jam - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients:
  • 350 grams of strawberries
  • 250 grams of sugar
  • juice from half of a small lemon




Mix the sugar with the strawberries and the lemon juice and let it rest over night.



Put the mixture in a pot at slow fire and let it boil.
  

After it starts boiling, let it on slow fire for 50 -60 minutes and then remove the pot from the fire.

Pour the hot jam in jars and close the lid. Turn the jars upside down and let them cool!



No need to say that with pancakes, this jam is awesome, right? ;)

Vegetable puree - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients:
  • 600 grams of celery
  • 200 grams of parsnip
  • 150 grams of carrots
  • 150 grams of zucchini
  • 50 grams of butter
  • garlic
  • salt
  • pepper


Chop the vegetables and boil them.


Keep half of the water in which the vegetables boiled, or less, if you want the final product to be thicker.


Mash the vegetables and their soup with a plunger to make a puree. Add the butter, the garlic, salt and pepper and mix some more.


Enjoy it with a few croutons or as it is!
