Probably those who have been visiting furniture stores in the Grand Region have observed an unusual brand of kitchen appliances - Ignis.
We were curious and asked today one of the sales ladies where does this brand come from. She couldn't tell. So we searched a little bit on the Internet and noted the following:
- today is part of the Whirlpool Corporation portfolio of brands;
- it was originally an Italian made range of kitchen appliances;
- was bought by Philips in 1972;
- through a joint venture in 1989, the Ignis brand is transferred from Philips to Whirlpool in 1989 (along with the very popular in Germany brand Bauknecht)
All this info is taken from the Whirlpool website.
Trip to La Spezia, Liguria, Italy
-
The city centre has its charm, although it's not so compact and homogenous
as others.
You can spend the hole day here if you wanted to.
