Hotel review - Holiday Inn Genova, Italy

Overall, we were disatisfied with the stay:

- location way outside the centre. You either have to take the bus / metro or walk for around 45 minutes;

- the hotels overlooks the docks for the big ferries. This means noise and especially pollution most of the times;

- breakfast was pretty varied. However the hot buffet and the cold cuts were too salty and of cheap quality. The only thing not sweet that was decent was the mozzarella with cherry tomatoes;

- the internet connection is slow.

(Apparently) famous for the UNESCO World Heritage "Palazzi dei Rolli", a quarter of imposing residences which hosted the city's distinguished guests.

Hotel review - Idea Hotel San Biagio,Genova, Italy

The room was of decent size.

Free parking, but no free internet.

The breakfast was ok, although they have an unfair practice: they waited for a group of tourists to leave and only afterwards they brought the good stuff: more types of cheese, cold cuts and sweets. 

Poor thinking: the toilets were just one behind the buffet tables.
