If your holiday plans include some driving towards Munich, it is good to know that there are several traffic jams between Stuttgart and Munich.
This is due to:
- a lot of people are going skiing in the Alps (apart from the majority of German plates, we've seen many Dutch and Belgium registered cars)
- many segments of the highway are under construction (like almost all the highways in Germany)
- the weather (snow/rain cumulated with freezing temperatures) makes the roads slippery and people drive slower
Due to the factors above, you are likely to spend at least 2 more hours then initially planned.
