MixMarkt - balkan supermarket in Bitburg

Recently we discovered a supermarket with East European products.

They are very well stocked: from the bacon and cheese, to the vanilla pretzels, sunflower seeds, wine and beer, and much more.

It is located at the crossroad between Stockstrasse and Moetscherstrasse (access to the parking is through Stockstrasse). 

Shops open in Luxembourg during the 2013 winter holiday period

It´s normal to forget to buy something during the holidays, and for that some supermarkets make us happy ... just by being open.

The following supermarkets will be open for the 2013 New Year's Eve:

Auchan will be open on 31 December from 8.00 to 16.00

Cactus is open on 31 December from 7.00 to 16.00

Cora Foetz has a special opening on Sunday, 29 December, from 8.00 to 19.00.

Supermarkets open on Sundays in Luxembourg

For those who do not have time for shopping on Saturdays, there are good news.

We found a supermarket in Luxembourg that is open on Sunday all day long, from 08:00 until 18:00.

It's the supermarket Match in Grevenmacher.

It's only 20 minutes from Luxembourg City centre. The address is Kahlenberg, 6739 Grevenmacher, Luxembourg.

From Luxembourg take the highway to Trier and exit 13-Potaschbierg. Follow the national route to Grevenmacher and after 3 kilometers you're there.

Another supermarkets in Echternach open on Sundays are Delhaize open until 18h or Cactus which is open until 13h .

Supermarket online in Luxembourg - www.epicerie.lu

While searching stuff on google, we stumbled upon www.epicerie.lu, an online supermarket which delivers all around Luxembourg.

Here below some details about the conditions applicable to residents of Luxembourg Ville and in its proximity:

- minimum order is of EUR 30;

- delivery fee is EUR 3.5 per order;

- to get the products delivered the next day, the order has to be made before 10:30 PM;

- no deliveries are made on Sundays and bank holidays;

- payment is made online, but the transfer is actually operated only on the day the products are delivered.


Last, but not least, a few words about the prices of the products: from a brief look, it seems that they are, on average, at least 50% higher than in the classical supermarkets (Auchan, Cora).
