The other face of Syracuse

We don't criticize, we only show you the other part of the city. In fact there is not much to see in Syracuse.
So if you plan to stay more then 2 days you have to have a car, to visit the other cities from the island.

Hotel review -B&B Igeea, Siracusa

The bed & breakfast is in fact a part of the first floor of a building and it's situated 2 km away from the Ortigia Island and 500 meters from the archeological park.

On the outside, the building is not very attractive, but the inside was renovated in 2009. Each room is equipped with a minibar, air conditioning and a hair dryer.

More details about the room you can find here.

You can have the breakfast in a bar 200 meters away, belonging to the owner of the hotel. The breakfast was a croissant and a coffee or juice.

The hotel has no parking places, but you can park in front of the building late in the night.
As a conclusion we would recommend this hotel.

Trip to Syracuse, Italy - part 5

Don't try the mobile fast foods at the corner of the streets (very popular among the locals, police officers included). The food is really shitty.

Probably it doesn't rain much, but when it does, all the city is flooded. We were unlucky to see it live.

Trip to Syracuse, Italy - part 4

We wanted to take a boat ride around the Ortigia island, but we did not find any serious looking company offering these services.

There were some shady old men with beat-up boats, but we did not see any tourists having the courage to try it.
