Spring flowers in Luxembourg

Yesterday was a really nice day and we, as many many others, enjoyed a walked through the city's parks:

Our Orchids (Phalaenopsis)

For the past 2 years we have been growing Orchids (the Phalaenopsis type).

Until this year our flowers did not bloom and that's because we didn't fertilize them.

We wanted to see if they will bloom without fertilizer. But they didn't.

After using "Compo"only once,we've seen that almost all of them will bloom in the next weeks, and we are very happy.So if you want to have beautiful Phalaenopsis you now what to do.

During our May trip to Amsterdam we bought 5 Amaryllis at Eur 2 each.

Fortunately, all of them will bloom. Below is the first one:

The flower parade takes place every year in the same place and approximately the same date. Next year the parade will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011.

It was the first time we've seen banana blossoms in various stages of its development: truly wonderful.
