  • 150 grams of bacon
  • 150 milliliters of Burgogne wine
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 20 milliliters of cognac

First you have to marinate the pork:

Chop the onions, the carrots and the garlic.

In a bowl mix the strips of pork meat with the garlic/onions/carrots mixture, then add the wine, the cognac, the butter and the olive oil. Let it rest for 24 h in the fridge.

The next day, in a pot add the meat, pour the flour above and let it fry for a few minutes until golden.

Pour the marinade and add the thyme and let it cook at slow fire for 1 hour, covering the pot and mixing from time to time.

Add the chopped mushrooms, the bacon and the shallots and let it cook for another 30 minutes.

Enjoy!

Potato stew with pork - recipe with step-by-step photos

Ingredients:
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 500 milliliters of (homemade) tomato juice
  • 500 grams of pork meat
  • 200 milliliters of water
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 spoons with sunflower oil
  • 1 bell pepper
  • a bit of paprika
  • a bit of salt
  • a bit of pepper
  • a bit of bacon
  • some parsley leaves

Cut the meat in small round portions.

Heat the sunflower oil and add the meat and the chopped bacon. Cover the pot and let it cook for 10 minutes. If the pork is not so tender, it will need more time to cook.

Uncover the pot and let the meat fry until it gets a bit yellow-brown on sides. Take out the meat and add the chopped onions and garlic. Let them fry for a few minutes until yellow.

Add the chopped bell pepper and let it cook for a minute or two.

Add back the meat, the cleaned chopped potatoes, the salt, the pepper, the paprika and the water. Cover the pot and let them cook for 30 minutes at slow fire.

Add the homemade tomato juice and let it cook for another 20 minutes.

When everything is ready, add the chopped parsley and put the pot aside for a few minutes.

It can be served with pickles, homemade or not :)

Enjoy!

Pork with garlic in the oven - recipe (including photos)

This was a back-up solution used some time ago, when we planned for a barbecue ... but the weather didn't approve :).

Ingredients:
  • 500 grams of meat
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 50 grams of red wine
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • laurel
  • thyme
  • salt

Mix the meat with all the ingredients above and put it in the oven at 180 Celsius degrees covered in aluminum foil for 90 minutes.

Take out the foil and let the meat cook for another 30-40 minutes.

Additionally you can prepare a mixture from crushed garlic, 100 grams of yogurt, 2 spoons of fresh cream and salt.
