Humor in Trouville, 2011, Normandy, France

Apparently, once every two years a caricature exposition/festival is held in Trouville.

We were lucky to see the 2011 edition back in April when we were there (click on the photos to enlarge and see the details):

Nothing special about the food - similar to a canteen. Not very cheap either

Cinnamon-orange donuts - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for few delicious donuts :

• 200 grams of wheat flour
• 150 grams of yogurt
• 7 grams of yeast
• the zest from 1 orange
• 1 teaspoon of sunflower oil
• 2 teaspoons of sugar
• vanilla sugar
• cinnamon 
• salt

Mix all the ingredients above until you obtain a non-sticky dough.
Let the dough rest for 1 hour.

Spread the dough (1 - 2 cm thick) on the table and make different forms. Let it rest again for 20 minutes.
 

Fry them in hot sunflower oil, for few seconds. Put the fried donuts on a plate covered with paper napkins. After that roll them in powdered sugar.

You can eat them with milk, jam or as they are.
