Few days ago we decided to try a baklava recipe. The result was sweet and good.
Also, if you have another recipe let us know.We will gladly try it :).
- 400 grams thin dough pie sheets (you can find them in the supermarkets)
- 150 grams of butter
- 350 grams of walnuts
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 300 grams of sugar
- 200 milliliters of water
- 3 lime
- vanilla sugar
Mix the walnuts with 100 grams of sugar, the cinnamon and the grated lime.
Grease the tray with some butter.
Divide the butter so it can be enough for the entire process.
Cover the bottom with some pie sheets.
Add some butter and a little bit of walnuts mixture.
Add another layer of pie sheets, some butter and more walnuts composition this time.
Repeat the process until you finish the walnuts ... or the sheets :).
Cover the last layer with the last few pie sheets. Add the remaining butter on top and cut the pie in medium pieces.
Put it in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare the syrup.
Mix the water with the remaining sugar at slow fire for a few minutes.
Let it cool and then add the rum and the vanilla sugar.
Pour it over the hot pie.
Let everything rest for a few hours in the fridge.
