2014 Halloween in Bitburg, Germany

This Friday evening from dusk till 10 PM, the event will take place on the streets of Bitburg, 45 km from Luxembourg.

Plum jam - recipe (including photos)

  • 3.2 kg of plums (without kernels)
  • 1.2 kg of sugar

Clean the plums and take out the kernels.

Let them cook for 10 minutes and then add the sugar.

Let the jam boil for about 3 hours at slow fire mixing from time to time.

When it´s ready it will be thick and it will have a darker color than at the beginning.

Far breton with apples - recipe (including photos)

  • 500 milliliters of milk
  • 125 grams of flour
  • 100 grams of powdered sugar
  • 2 apples
  • 2 eggs
  • salt

Mix the flour with the salt, the powdered sugar, the eggs and the milk.

Clean and cut the apples in small cubes and add it in the composition.

Pour the composition into a baking form and let it in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour.
