Trip to Klagenfurt, Austria

Klagenfurt is the capital of the southern-most region of Austria, Carinthia, neighbouring with Slovenia and Italy.

We found Klagenfurt to be a typical Austrian town: a mix of old town with historical houses and pedestrian streets, and new quartiers of apartment buildings.

There was nothing that was really distinctive about this town and we would not recommend it for a day trip:

Trip to Villach, Austria

Villach is a small mountain town in Carinthia region of Austria, very close to the border with Slovenia and Italy.

For us it seemed like the perfect place to do some shopping during a ski holiday in one of the ski resorts nearby.

The locals also praise the thermal resort Warmbad located just few kilometers away.
