Trip to Rochester, England

We were sleeping in Maidstone and with some time still left on our hands, we stopped by Rochester first. Not really worth it.

Hotel review - Hilton London Croydon, England

Decent room, although for a 4 star hotel they could do better.

The heating system is very slow in heating up the room.

Poorly soundproofed.

Edible breakfast.

Free covered parking places.

Hotel review - Hilton Southampton, England

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. A small inconvenient was the noise who lasted all night, probably from the ventilation system.

Decent breakfast with hot and cold items, although the cheese was missing. Paid parking places.

Alnwick Castle, England

A very nice castle.

The interior is stunning and currently appears in the Downton Abbey series. It´s forbidden to take pictures inside the castle.

Some scenes of the Harry Potter movie were filmed in the courtyard.

Trip to Winchester, England

Historical town, not far from London. Pleasant during a sunny afternoon.

Trip to Stonehenge, England

Interesting, but expensive site. Almost 15 pounds/person to visit it.

Many of the sites in UK are expensive because of two bodies which "administer the sites" (yeah right) and charge these enormous fees.

What is it more interesting is that you can see the stones (from some distance) from the road.
