Hotel review - Hotel Etap (Ibis Budget) Merignac, France

The room was bright and clean, and the breakfast was basic, like in all the Etap hotels.

The Hotel is within walking distance of the Bordeaux airport, so it would be the ideal place to sleep for an early next morning flight.

Free internet and free parking.

Clean room. Very basic breakfast.

The walls are not sound proofed, as you can hear almost everything from inside the hotel or outside.

We have recently spent 2 nights at Etap Hotel London City Airport:

Our impressions:

- clean, basic room, with all the necessary amenities

- very efficient heating system

- good sound isolation

- it had an elevator, which is plus compared to other hotels in its category

- breakfast very basic: only cereals, toast, butter, jam and some croissants. As for the drinks: coffee machine, orange / apple juice and tea. However, the price of breakfast was very reasonable: GBP 2.95 per person

- within walking distance from the airport (15 minute walk)

- it's 50 metres behind a gas station with a small mini-market (including a Costa Coffee franchise), where you can buy something to eat / drink

As a conclusion, we would recommend it.
