Traffic jams on the highway to Munich

 
If your holiday plans include some driving towards Munich, it is good to know that there are several traffic jams between Stuttgart and Munich.

This is due to:

• a lot of people are going skiing in the Alps (apart from the majority of German plates, we've seen many Dutch and Belgium registered cars)

• many segments of the highway are under construction (like almost all the highways in Germany)

• the weather (snow/rain cumulated with freezing temperatures) makes the roads slippery and people drive slower

Due to the factors above, you are likely to spend at least 2 more hours then initially planned.

Drive safely and have a good vacation!
