Trip to Bratislava, Slovakia - part 2

Taking into account that it was part of a former communist country, the preservation of the old town centre, as much as it is, has to be appreciated.

Trip to Krems, Austria

Very nice medieval city, stretching for some kilometers along the banks of the Danube.

The highlight of the overrated Wachau valley (which starts at Melk and ends here).

Very close to Vienna (1 hours drive), so it's not such a big detour if you're planning to see Vienna.

Trip to the city of Melk, Austria

Melk is a small village at the footsteps of the eponymous abbey.

Very small city center with a main pedestrian route. Pretty crowded with all the bus touring tourists. Good place to buy some souvenirs from the Wachau valley.

Trip to Dürnstein, Austria

Small village on the banks of the Danube, in the UNESCO World Heritage Wachau Valley.

Not much to see/do, but a nice stop over for those taking the bicycle trails.

Nice views over several kilometers of the Danube from the cliffs.
