Hotel review- Alphotel, Innsbruck, Austria

The room was small, but for a one night stay we did not suffer.

A bit cold in the room, especially considering it was winter.

Free parking places, free wi-fi and good breakfast.

Fairy tale characters ... on the walls in Innsbruck!

It was a nice spectacle, and you could see almost all the characters which you grew up with.

..and probably there were more!

It is a very nice city and in the winter it's a wonderful spectacles of lights.

Strudel in Innsbruck, Austria

While in Innsbruck we tried a couple of confectionery stores.

This one below was the worst we encountered. It's in the center, on the street that leads from the Golden Roof to the royal palace.

The strudel wasn't well cooked and the Sacher torte had nothing to do with the original one.

The cookies were very good.

The confectionery is right in the centre: as you face the Golden Roof, make a left and walk about 20 meters.

Trip to Innsbruck, Tirol, Austria

Innsbruck is a very nice town. Perfect not only as a city trip, but also as a summer / winter sports holiday, with peaks of over 2 000 meters available by the cable car departing just next to the city center.

If you are lucky and it's sunny you can see in the background the beautiful mountains who guard the city.
