On Sunday, 6 January, the traders in Luxembourg organise the street market sale ("braderie" as it is known in French):

No opening hours have been published, but it would be safe to say that around lunch time is a good time to go there.

Winter sales 2013 in Luxembourg

The official 2013 winter sales period starts in Luxembourg on January 2nd and lasts until 19 January.

However, based on the previous years' experience, the unofficial sales continue until well into the month of February, when you can get some real bargains, but for a limited number of products left.
