Pretzels with cheese - recipe (including photos)

  • 400 grams of flour
  • 40 grams of butter
  • 100 - 150 grams of grated cheese
  • 10 spoons of milk
  • 4 spoons of hot water
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • yeast
  • 1 egg

Clean the potatoes and boil them.  

Add the mashed potatoes over the flour, the yeast, the grated cheese, the melted butter, the milk and the hot water and mix them well...

...until it looks like this. Put the dough to rest for 1 hour.

Make little balls and roll it.

Twist and plait the dough.

Put the pretzels in a tray.

Smear the egg on top of pretzels. Let the pretzels bake for 20 - 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
