Cheese pie ("pasca" in Romanian) - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for the dough:
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 100 milliliters of warm milk
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 7 grams of yeast
  • half of a spoon with sugar
  • salt

Mix all the ingredients above and make a non sticky dough.

Let the dough rest for 30-40 minutes.

Spread half of the dough on the table, and then cover with it the bottom of the pan.

From the other half : divide the dough in 3 portions and roll them like in the photos below.

Place the formed dough round over the plate dough.

Ingredients for the filling:
  • 500 grams of fresh cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • vanilla sugar
  • salt
  • raisins
  • the zest of half of a lemon
Mix all the ingredients above.

Add the composition in the tray.

Put it in the oven for about 45 minutes at 160 Celsius degrees.

Thanks for sharing this recipe! It looks yummy. I see 3 eggs in the photo, but you mention using 2 eggs in the filling. Is 1 egg used in the dough?
