Quince jam - recipe (including photos)

  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 600 grams of sliced quinces
  • 1/2 liters of water
  • half a lemon

Boil the water with the sugar.

When it boils, add the quinces and the thinly sliced lemon and continue boiling for about 10 minutes at slow fire. Increase the heat and let them boil for another 40 -50 minutes. Do not cover the pot during the process.

When ready, let it cool for a few minutes then put the jam while its still hot in the jar and turn the jar up-side-down. Let it like this until it cools completely, because it will preserve better this way.
