Orecchiette with bacon and cheese in the oven - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for a 25cm x 20cm tray (or similar):
  • 300 grams of orecchiette
  • 200 grams of yogurt
  • 200 grams of fresh cream
  • 150 grams of salted cheese (e.g. feta)
  • 150 grams of bacon
  • 150 grams of bell pepper pasta
  • 150 grams of mushrooms
  • 5 pieces of garlic
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 spoon of sunflower oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 laurel leaf

Fry the chopped onion and the bacon.

Add the mushrooms and let them fry for another 10 minutes.

Add the bell pepper pasta, the laurel and the crushed garlic and let them fry for another 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, beat the eggs for a few seconds. Add the fresh cream and the yogurt and mix.

 Add the grated cheese and mix until well incorporated.

In a tray, add the boiled pasta, then the mushrooms/bacon mixture and on top add the cheese/eggs mixture .

Put the tray in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 - 25 minutes or until brown.
