Cannelés de Bordeaux – recipe (including photos)

This recipe is taken from a newspaper.

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 200 grams of eggs
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 50 grams of egg yolks 
  • vanilla
  • rum

Boil for a few seconds the milk with the butter and the vanilla.

Separately beat the eggs with the sugar.

Add the flour and mix.

Add the milk over the egg composition and mix.

Let it cool and add the rum.
Let it in the fridge over night.

Fill half of the silicon forms and put it in the oven at 220 degrees Celsius for the first 5 minutes and then at 180 degrees Celsius for another 35-45 minutes.
