Two negative points about the food & drinks at the event:

- we spent 2 minutes convincing the cashier that we do not need a 10 EUR voucher and that we only want to buy 2 sausages for 6 EUR. It was like in one of the Laurel and Hardy moments...
- and when we finally got our sausages, they were not cooked properly, being half raw. We ended by threwing them away. Probably some duck a l'orange would have been better :)

Is this Luxembourg in March?

This week was a really extraordinary pleasant weather.

People were actually trying to remember when was the last time the weather has been so nice in March.

2011 Buergbrennen, Luxembourg Ville - photos and videos

This year we took part for the first time at this traditional celebration.

A pretty big crowd attended (for Luxembourg standards). At the end, we concluded that it is a really nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon (barbecue, drinks, acquaintances, etc.)

2011 Oscar winners

Last night the Oscar ceremony took place, with The King's Speech being the great winner.

This post is just to follow our 2011 predictions, to notice that we were right in 3 out of the 7 categories.

It's true that we guessed the easy ones, like the lead actor and actress and the animated movie, but, in the end, the statistics matters: we're getting better compared to last year, when we guessed only 2 out of 7 :)))

Already looking for the next year's ceremony.

Until then, the next US event to be followed: the NBA play-offs.
