The "smart" cake - recipe (including photos)

  • 5 eggs
  • 125 gr of butter
  • 115 grams of wheat flour
  • 500 grams of milk
  • 30 grams of sugar
  • 80 grams of powdered sugar
  • 2 spoons of water
  • vanilla sugar

Melt the butter and let it aside to cool.

Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the egg whites with 30 grams of sugar and set them aside.

Separately, beat the egg yolks with the powdered sugar and the vanilla sugar. Add the melted butter in the mixed egg yolks.

Add the water and mix.

Add the flour and mix.

Add the warm milk and mix well.

Finally add the egg whites and mix very well until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Grease a pan with sunflower oil and spread some flour.

Pour the composition and let it in the oven at 140 degrees Celsius for 1 hour. Do not open the oven while the cake is baking!

Let it cool down and spread above some powdered sugar.
