German apple pie - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for the dough:
  • 450 grams of flour
  • 150 milliliters of milk
  • 150 grams of fresh cheese
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 70 grams of sugar
  • 10 grams of fresh yeast
  • the zest from 1 small lemon
  • 1 egg
  • salt

Mix the flour with the butter, the yeast (previously mixed with a spoon of warm milk), the egg, the warm milk, the sugar, the salt, the zest from the lemon and the fresh cheese. Let the dough rest in a warm place for 1 hour.

Ingredients for the filling:
  • 500 grams of apples
  • 50 - 70 grams of raisins
  • 2 spoons of lemon juice
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • cinnamon
  • some walnuts (optional)

Clean and cut the apples. Add the lemon juice, the sugar, the cinnamon, the raisins (and the walnuts) and let them at slow fire for 5-10 minutes. Let it cool!

Spread the dough on the table .

Mold the dough inside a baking pan.

Add the apples in the middle and cover the filling with the remaining dough like in the pictures.

Put it in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 40 - 50 minutes.
