Caramelized apple flan - recipe (including photos)

  • 700-800 grams of cut, cleaned and peeled apples (that probably means about 1,5 kg of apples)
  • 250 milliliters of milk
  • 150  milliliters of fresh cream
  • 70 grams of sugar
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 40 grams of butter
  • 5 eggs
  • salt

Melt half of the sugar with 1 spoon of cold water.

When caramelized add the butter and mix.

Add the apple cubes and let them simmer for 10 minutes mixing from time to time.

In a separate bowl beat the eggs together with the salt, the remaining sugar and the flour.

Add the milk and the fresh cream and mix until well incorporated.

In a non sticky pan add the apples, then pour the milk/cream composition and put it in the preheated oven at 190 Celsius degrees for 45-50 minutes or until ready.
