Salted cheese sticks - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for the dough:
  • 500 grams of flour
  • 200 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of fresh cream
  • 150-200 grams of salted cheese
  • 50 milliliters of sparkling water
  • 25 grams of fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon with sugar
  • 1 teaspoon with salt
For the topping:
  • 150 grams of mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • poppy seeds

Mix the butter (previously brought at room temperature) with the flour, the water, the cheese and the salt.

Add the fresh cream and the yeast (previously mixed with the sugar).

Let it rest for an hour in a warm place.

Spread the dough on the table and above spread the beaten egg, the mozzarella cheese and the poppy seeds.

Cut the dough in 2 cm strips.

Put it in the oven at 180 Celsius degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

These are excellent appetizers or they can be eaten alongside a glass of milk for breakfast ;).
