Gilt-head bream in the oven - recipe

Ingredients for 3 people:
  • 3 gilt head bream (or dorade royale in French)
  • 4 spoons with olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 carrot 
  • a few potatoes
  • pepper
  • salt
  • thyme

Clean and chop the onions and the bell pepper. Grate the carrot.

Heat 2 spoons with olive oil and add the vegetables, except the potatoes. 

Let them fry for 5 minutes mixing from time to time.

Clean the potatoes and cut them in half.

On a baking tray add the potatoes cut in half.

Clean the fish. In the belly of the fish add the fried vegetables.

Put the fish on top of the potatoes.

Add some salt, pepper, thyme and the other 2 spoons with olive oil and put it in the oven at 180 Celsius degrees covered with a baking paper for 30 minutes.

Uncover the tray and let it bake for another 10-15 minutes.
