Cheese snails - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients:
  • 400 grams of flour
  • 250 grams of fresh cheese
  • 250 milligrams of milk
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 spoons of sunflower oil
  • 15 grams of yeast
  • zest from 1 lemon
  • rum essence (few milligrams)

Mix the yeast with 1 spoon of sugar and few spoons of warm milk. Let the composition rest for half of an hour.

Mix the flour with 1 egg, the zest from the lemon, the remaining milk, half of the rum essence and salt.

When the dough is ready add the sunflower oil and mix until is well incorporated. Let the dough rest for 40-60 minutes.

Prepare the cheese composition. Mix the cheese with the 2 eggs, and the remaining rum essence.

Make little balls of dough and spread them on the table.

Add the cheese on one side and roll.

Then roll again to look like a snail.

Break the 4th egg and brush the snails with it before putting them in the oven.

Cook at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
Add some powdered sugar above.

Enjoy!
