- 2kg of cabbage
- 700 grams of pork meat
- 2 bell peppers
- 500 grams of tomatoes
- 100 grams of bacon
- 3 onions
- 30 grams of olive oil
- 300 ml of tomato juice
- 3 carrots
- laurel leaves
Put the olive oil with the meat and the laurel leaves in a pot and let them cook for 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, chop in very small pieces the cabbage, the carrots, the onions, the bell peppers and add them in the pot.
Let them boil in their own juice for 2 hours stirring from time to time. The cooking time depends on the type of cabbage.
Cut in small pieces the tomatoes add them over the mixture and let them boil for another hour.
Add the tomatoes juice, the thyme and let them boil for another 10 - 15 minute.
