Black and white cake - recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for the chocolate sponge cake:
  • 5 eggs
  • 8 spoons of sugar
  • 12 spoons of flour
  • 4 spoons of sunflower oil
  • the juice from half of a lemon
  • 6 spoons of cocoa powder

Mix the egg yolks with the sunflower oil like you do for the mayonnaise.
Add the juice from the lemon and mix.

Beat the egg whites with the sugar.

Add the egg yolks over the egg whites and mix slowly.

Add the cocoa powder and mix.

Add the flour and mix.

Put it in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes.

Ingredients for the filling:
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 80 grams of wheat flour
  • 4 spoons of sugar
  • 100 grams of white chocolate
  • 100 grams of butter

Mix the flour with the sugar.
Add 150 milliliters of milk over the flour and mix slowly.

Boil the remaining milk with the white chocolate.

When boiling add the flour and mix for few minutes. Let the filling aside to cool.

When cooled, add the butter and mix.

Ingredients for the glazing:
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate
  • 3 spoons of milk
  • 150 grams of butter
  • 2 spoons of sugar

Put all the ingredients in a pan and let them boil.
Put the pot aside and let it cool.

Divide the sponge cake in 4 layers.
Add one layer, the white filling and the glaze. Continue like this until you finish the layers.

Put the cake in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
