Chicken with mushrooms - recipe (including photos)

  • 1 chicken
  • 500 grams of fresh mushrooms
  • 100 grams of bacon
  • 50 mil red/white wine
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 5 spring onions
  • 3 spring garlic
  • 3 spoons of fresh cream
  • 1 egg
  • paprika
  • thyme
  • pepper
  • salt

Season the pieces of chicken meat with salt, thyme, pepper and paprika.

Melt 25 grams of butter and add the meat. Let it fry for a few minutes.

Add 500 milliliters of water and put it in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile melt the rest of the butter and add the bacon. Fry well the bacon.

Add the chopped spring onions and let them fry for a few minutes at slow fire.

Add the chopped mushrooms and, after a few minutes, add the wine.

Let it cook for about 10 minutes.

Add the chopped spring garlic and cover the pot.
Let it cook for 20 minutes at moderate fire.

Add the chicken over the composition above and let it cook for 10 more minutes.

Mix the egg with the cream and add it over the chicken.

Let it cook for another 5 minutes.


It can be served with any side dish of potatoes.
