Goulash - recipe (including photos)

  • 400 grams of chicken meat
  • 3 spoons of olive oil
  • 2 onions
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 big carrot
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 big bell pepper
  • 5 tomatoes
  • laurel
  • half of a spoon of paprika
  • black pepper
  • salt

Heat the olive oil and add the chopped onions. Let them fry for few minutes.
Add the paprika and cover the pot for another few minutes.

Add the meat and let it fry for about 10 minutes, mixing from time to time.

Add the chopped garlic and the laurel.

Add enough water to cover the meat. Let it boil for 10 minutes.

Add the chopped carrot, the salt, the pepper and the chopped potatoes.

Let everything boil for another half of an hour at medium fire.

Add the chopped tomatoes and bell pepper and let it boil for 15-20 minutes at slow fire.Now you can add also some pasta, like in the original Hungarian recipe.
