Onion bread - recipe (including photos)

  • 500 grams of flour
  • 270 milliliters of warm water
  • 100 milliliters of olive oil
  •  20 grams of fresh yeast
  • 1 big onion
  • some olives
  • 1 spoon of salt
  • 1 spoon of sugar
  • 1 spoon of balsamic vinegar

Mix the yeast with the sugar until liquid. Add it over the flour.
Let it rest for a few minutes.

Fry the onion in the olive oil, until yellow.

Pour the water mixed with the vinegar over the flour.

Add the salt and mix.

Over the dough add the fried onion (including the remaining olive oil from the pan) and the olives cut in small pieces.

Mix well.

Let the dough rest in a warm place for about 40 minutes.

Now you can play with the dough and make forms.
Above the little bread you can add some olive oil.

Put the bread in the oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes.
